A source for the NFL Network has reported that the Raiders are interested in signing former Houston Texans running back J.R. Watt to a deal worth up to $20 million per year.
According to a source with knowledge of the talks, the Raiders have asked Watt for a deal in the range of $20-$25 million per season, with an option for a higher contract.
The Raiders are in need of help at the running back position and Watt would likely fill a hole in the roster.
The 49ers, Bengals and Jets have also expressed interest in Watt.
The former first-round pick has played for both Houston and the Texans over the past three seasons.
He had a career-high 1,921 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns last season.
